My whole ground floor apart from the lounge is wood flooring. When Oliver runs down the stairs he often skids when he reaches the hallway. We cant play fetch in the house as he skids when he runs runs.
Im very worried he is going to slip and break something is there anything out there that you can wash the floors with that make it anti slip? I have put rugs in certain places but certainly most of the floor is uncovered. Would having his nails trimmed help?

You can get wax to put on their pads that give them a bit more grip. I used to use some on my collie when we were obedience training as he used to slide out of his sitten on the floor of the hall we trained at.

I was told that if you put it on their paws and run a small amount through the lower feathers that it stops snow accumalating and turning into rock hard balls! Everytime it snows this happens to angel and she won't walk - meaning i have to carry 20kg of dog up hill dry.gif , i then promise myself that im going to buy some and never do rolleyes.gif

Jen i don't know if it actually works though! - like i say every winter i forget to buy it. I have used a samll amount of vaseline in the past and it helps a bit with regards to snowballing of the fur!

Good to hear its just not Angel though biggrin.gif
