Hi,
For those of you who are coming to Ireland on Holiday (and many do because you can bring the dogs very easily) - dont be misled by the open spaces, we have a problem with actually finding somewhere to walk the dogs safely - many places in ireland are actually private property and no rights of way exist so you may think your out in the country with wide open spaces but in actual fact you can only walk on the roads - and that can be a pain in the bum!!
On a positive note, there are many beaches that are more or less deserted even in the summer and you can let the dogs off for a really good belt about knowing they are safe and not likely to get in to trouble.
Also if you are coming to the South West - Killarney National Park offers some wonderful walks, all on footpaths, although if you go to Muckross House you can take the dogs into the grounds but they must be kept on leads - but its some fantastic walking if you are happy with dogs on leads (lots of lakes for dogs to swim in as well).
Thats about it for now if I come across any others or anyone wants further information let me know.
Karen
