I got both of them from that same e-bay seller. That book does seem to be a bit hard to get hold of.

Just been browsing as a newbie to the site and saw your posting. Has he come home?

We got our rescue springer 6 weeks ago he is amazing in every way but it is hard work integrating him with our two cats. The more settled he gets the more he seems to want to chase them. I've been in tears so many times feeling guilty for upsetting the cats lives and for risking having to take Billy back to the adoption centre and causing him more anguish.

Yesterday was a particularly bad day but then yesterday evening he was excellent. I started a diary when we got him of his behaviour each day and when I feel down I read it back so we can see the progress he has made.

Don't know if you watch the dog whisperer or dog borstal- we watch loads of it and the over-riding message we get is that any problem no matter how big or small can be solved with a bit of help and perseverence.

Can you revert back to the adoption centre for help- we got Billy from Dogs Trust and they told us to contact them after one week or ten years if we ever had a problem. We have contacted their behaviourist for help as for all we know we could be making the dog worse not better. Have you thought about having one to one sessions with a trainer at your house?
