I have a 5 year old Terrier cross, who has always been a bit of a diva!

But lately her attitude is getting worse, she can't do any think with out making a noise.

ohmy.gif Want my breakfast- bark (I can cope with that)
biggrin.gif want my walk - bark
unsure.gif want to go out in the gardens and wake up the neighbourgh's-bark
laugh.gif want to run around the house- bark (very loud)
biggrin.gif want a dentstick- bark at mom, whilst watching telly!!
mad.gif want to go upstairs because it's block off whilst Holly (springer) is not allowed up stairs- cry alot!!
mad.gif another dog on my field (it is not her field) bark loud whilst running
cool.gif mom picks me up-moan
ph34r.gif postman- eat him alive
wink.gif want my bed making nice- cry
sad.gif going to bed in the kitchen- bark alot
mad.gif want to go to bed with mom- bark, cry and jump at the kitchen door in case once in five years she give in and let me up stairs

I feel like she is getting worse and I have tried lots of things, may be I should go on it's me or the dog!!

However I do love her attitude, think she or me might need therapy soon biggrin.gif

Terriers can have a tendancy to be a bit 'barky' - but you don't need me to tell you that biggrin.gif

It may well be that little Diva Kylie has learned that barking is rewarded by her getting what she wants unsure.gif Does she get breakfast after her breakfast bark? Walkies after her walkies bark etc???

You could try teaching her to bark on command and then shush - really helped us with Cal when she barked at everything rolleyes.gif I'm sure Jen can advise you on the in's and out's of teaching Marlsta to woof ph34r.gif

She sounds a little Tinker. My little terrier was a barker when he came to me at 11mths old. No wander I was the 5th home in one week, but after spending 10hrs a day running around the stable yard, coming out on hacks with me it soon knocked it out of him. there is something about terriers they seem to get under your skin.
