I thought it would be interesting to see what things our springers have chewed that are not their own toys.

so I will start the list off

shoes
socks
best sexiest bra
kids toys x lots
plants in the garden
cat flap
dinning chairs
dinning table
stairs
stairs carpet
kitchen unit
wall
skirting board
wooden spoons
dog bed
lead
car seat belt
car parcel shelf
dustpan and brush x 2
kitchen clothes
tea towels
oven gloves
tent guy ropes
non tip doggy water bowls
bryony's plastic plates
Lap tray (sorry Cynthia)
roof felt off their kennel

and Brocs personal favourite Kitchen Roll x countless rolls

Now you would think it was cos they were bored ... but they get at least 2 hours exercise/ training a day and I am home most of the time. Broc will chew whether I am there or not ...... he just takes great pleasure is detroying things, especially if it something that spec wants to play with.

To be honest bar a few of the above list I am not bothered, if they are within the dogs reach they are fair game. 90% of what has been chewed is easily and cheaply replaced and I am not house proud.

Sorry but I have two almost perfect furbabies - they rarely chew anything, including their dinner laugh.gif

As a puppy Poppy did attempt:
Play person
one ted baker flip flop
toilet roll
numerous puppy pads unsure.gif
an old mobile phone, but gave it up easily biggrin.gif
Edited to include...MY SUNGLASSES laugh.gif
Jasper chewed a hole in his bed in the first week he was here but hasnt done it since

I swear my home was saved by raw hides, which is why I gave them despite the bad press they get - it really helped poppy through the teething stage.

When poppy gets really excited and runs around play bowing, she will mouth door frames or the coffee table like she intends to eat it but its just a game, she's never so much as left a tooth mark.

I did laugh at your lists. It would be easier to list things in this house that the boys havent had a go at, at some stage or another theyve tried the lot. Still dont think Tony has quite managed to forgive them for scupperring his HMS Victory tho

bodhi- 02-12-2007
very recently Bodhi has chewed and ruined a pillowcase and part of the pillow from a brand new set .... only been on the bed for a day grrrrrrr mad.gif tongue.gif

Fipps is and always was a good girl as far as chewing is concerned smile.gif . The only two things she damaged was a whole in the sofa under the cushion, so nobody can see it (clever girl, isn't she? smile.gif ) and the other thing was a small whole in the woolen hearth rug. Otherwise she just destroys her toys, tuggies and bedding/blanket.
She ripped lots of plants out in the garden, but I suppose that was a normal puppy thing unsure.gif .

Our two haven't been too bad to press, having said that it's not wise to "tempt fate" with Springers is it unsure.gif

Socks ............... a plenty
Shoes ........... a little
Anything in the waste bin is fair game, as is owt' in the laundry basket ........ rolleyes.gif
The post ............... if Oscar gets there first wink.gif
The Postman ............. well, near miss, thankfully he's a forgiving sort of chap and seems to like our two ph34r.gif
Conservatory rug
Throws

That's mainly Oscar to be fair, Millie so far has been pretty good ............ apart from socks ...... tongue.gif ...... what is it with Springers and socks, particularly one's that haven't been washed ph34r.gif

Ozzie on the other hand, as a pup had a go at all sorts but he's fine now. When he was a few months old, Mrs O_D bought him a "posh" cushion to lie on, or so we thought blink.gif , first time he was left alone with it for a couple of hours he destroyed it ph34r.gif .......... inside it was stuffed with length's of ribbon, on his walk later he seemed to be experiencing difficulty passing his "No: 2's" ohmy.gif ............... Son had to assist and ended up with a very long piece of brown" materiel, he wasn't too happy but I think Ozzie was glad he was there to help sad.gif

Just thought I'd share laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

jeni4karl- 02-22-2007
i think i must be extremly lucky as Ellie is nearly 9 months now and has not chewed a thing shes not ment to, from day one i have made sure she has plenty around to chew as in, hide chews, pigs ears, dental chews etc. she comes to work with me so is hardly ever left on her own. Wife would not be happy if Ellie has chewed some of the items on other lists.

cornishpride- 02-22-2007
I can relate to the sock thing Dave - I don't think me or the oh have a single matching pair where poppy stretches them and sucks them ph34r.gif it must be the nice cheesy foot taste laugh.gif

When poppy was a pup she marched into the living room with my thong and oh's boxers too laugh.gif
