Ive got another one....When ellie was about 3 months old she got hold of a cig packet and ate 3 cigs

I've noticed that car seat belts have appeared on the lists more than a few times and as Jazz is developing a skill in chewing through my car seat belts ...I am wondering if any of you have found a particularly good way of discouraging this expensive pastime.

I have just recently sprayed the chewed seat belts with Johnson's anti-chew and during our trip in the car tonight I heard some disapproving spluttering going on so I hope the spray is working as I don't want a repeat performance on the replacement seat belts.

I am reluctant to put her into a travelling crate. The other two springers are fine and Jazz at 9 months is just going through a chewy phase........HOPE!!

So what has worked for you other car seat belt shredding springer owners?

God, seat belts! I am sooo with you on that! He seems to object to being in his harness, which is attached by seatbelt...
Other than that:

Cutlery - though he just likes to steal it
My file box
Shoes - doesnt chew them, but has a thing about only my shoes for some reason
Numerous newspapers and magazines - if he can get 'em, he shreds 'em!

I am not quite sure how this dogs never killed himself. We always thought we had hidden everything but he seemed to find things we couldn't.
