One vet in my practice was sooooo rude to me about feeding my deerhound BARF I complained and she was asked to apologise to me.
My 'best' vet does not advocate raw feeding per se as he feels too many people don't understand it enough BUT he is happy that those that research it and follow a good balance know what is good for their dogs.
The negative my vet feels about me feeding Bricey raw (he totally supports the others being fed that way even Mugi who has renal and liver failure) is that if when he bloats he proceeds to torsion having bone in his stomach may complicate surgery. I accept this as an additional risk but Brice is at risk of bloat 24/7 365 days a year and in the meantime he thrives on his raw diet so I take a chance.
As for teeth........
Mugi came to me aged 10 and needed a significant number of teeth removed. Since then he has been raw fed and although he is a rehome he is now being shown - a number of judges at Championship Shows have commented on how fab his teeth are, they have not been cleaned by me apart from by breast of lamb and chicken wings
