I would like to get involved in gundog training. I want it to be for fun rather than to use as work. I think it will stimulate him (Oliver) mentally and be something good to do together.
Are there clubs that will help you train a dog that wont be retrieving game?
And what is a good age to go to one of these. Oliver is 6 month old now

the perfect age. depending where u live im sure there is a club. most are very informal and after a couple of weeks of feeling out of your depth and soon realise everyone elses dogs are just as daft as yours

Have a look on www.gundogclub.co.uk their are grade -*test*-('")s you can do, but I think the dog has to be a year old!!!

But their are groups out their that you can join, and train with others.

But watch out it it very addictive , where are you??
