We're now starting to go out, walking the 5min per month rule and that seems plenty for Meg. Going to visit the park next week and start puppy socialising. Now should I start lead discipline immediatley? At the moment she is fairly giddy with all the wide world has to offer.
Also how many times a day should the walk be...twice?

I would most definatly without a doubt start the lead work now!

It will pay off so much in the future, its so easy to teach them how to walk properly rather than trying to train naughty habbits out of them later on in life with back and arm ache.

I see so many people who walk with a pulling dog, my old lab being one of them so i always make a point of making any dog i have or train to walk VERY NICELY.

my opinion only of course but i say start straight away...including off lead heel work because when they are tiny they want to stay next to you so it is easier to train rather than when they have more confidence and want to be out and about sniffing.
