I have just received an email from (Unknown), and that is how the sender is identified, saying it is a response from its a spring thing topic and my computer has blocked it with a big warning saying this email is dangerous.

Saw this on another forum too. Someone's address book has been stolen by a virus which is trying to infect everyone from that address book. Do not open the email.

Have you got any topics "bookmarked"? Have you asked to be notified of replies to any topics at all?

Only the message you describe is identical to one I get when I have notifcations set

Check your controls and see.

If your email is a hotmail account then all correspondence from ST is marked as "Unknown" - think it is something to do with the servers (not teckky enough to know details ) that stops hotmail allowing you add ST as a known sender.
