HI THERE

I HAVE A 15 WEEK OLD PUPPY SHE IS VERY WELL BEHAVED ETC ETC BUT WE HAVE NOTICED THA OVER THE LAST FEW DAYS SHE HAS STARTED TO BITE HER TAIL CAUSING IT TO BLEED

THIS HAS HAPPENED TWICE NOW AN I AM ABIT CONCERNED ANY REQUIRE SOME INFOMATION IF POSSIBLE

Is she chasing her tail and biting or is she chewing on it when she is still as in an irritation of some sort?? If you put down a little more info you may find some sound advice on here. . if you are unsure I'd pop to the vets to see if its a medical or behavioral problem . . once you know why shes doing it you should then be able to work on the cure Hope this helps

she is not chasing it just siting there chewing on it

Firstly try & keep it clean, and then if she insists on chewing it perhaps you could try to cover it so she can't get at it and make it any worse - maybe a small bandage or sock
I think it's worth a trip to the vets, she could have a minor skin irritation which is making her itch it till it bleeds

Rufus did that and he had a blocked anal gland and our vet said he was irritated by it and trying to ease it. A good clean out and he was fine again.

is it the tip of her tail or the base of the tail ?

I think anal glands make them chew the base of their tail.

My lab chews the tip of his tail, and he is now 3. The end is so delicate everytime he wags his tails now and bangs it on something the tail starts to bleed again.

Hope you get to the bottom of it. I never did with my boy.
