My family will tell you I am a right softy. Tess sleeps under the bed, and she comes onto the bed for cuddles, the cat sleeps on the bed, or anywhere else she likes, and Bailey has sofa rights and may move into the rest of the house if we ever phase out the crate.

However, I can't see any problem with dogs being housed some of the time in an outside kennel. I once dated a chap who's GSD was kept outside in a large shed with garden access while he was at work, she loved it. I'd worry about dogs being stolen, or annoying the neighbours barking, but that's just me and our situation. Bet the dog would be more than happy from the sounds of the set up you have.

There have been a few people on here upset by a particular rescue, you can't see eye to eye with everyone, so just find another rescue, one you can work with rather than clash with.

And Spaceman was just voicing his opinion, pretty sure he didn't intend to upset anyone, that's the trouble with forums, you can't hear the tone. I've taken to assuming the best from a post, rather than taking offence, makes life easier laugh.gif rolleyes.gif

If you can be bothered  wink.gif  there's a thread I started on here ages ago about dogs needing their own space and time

......on another note we visited Finn today with his siblings...in his OUTSIDE run and kennel/garden where they have all been since being born, as well as the parents who are all outside......and he is fighting fit......

Finn, being with siblings and Mum outside, is a different scenario and can't be compared like for like with post weaning/rehoming.
