Those of you who came to the Fling would have seen Tracey's wonderful TTouch demo and the effect it had on Molly - she relaxed so much she went to sleep
I decided to follow this up and got in contact with a local practitioner to learn some more.
The reason - Molly is an anxious little worrier of a dog, very very busy, always on the go, circles a lot always in the same direction, focuses completely when circling, is ball obsessed and I wanted to try and help her to relax a little.
As if to prove how anxious she gets sometimes, she managed to be sick during our session
Yesterday Lesleyann, myself and Molly spent almost 4 hours together

and it was fabulous
She spent a lot of time showing me all the methods of massage, explaining them carefully, practising on each other, before practising on Molly. We tried the wrap which once again seemed to bring her down an extra level, as if she felt safe/secure and we also did some ground work outside which kinda looks like agility but is slightly different and is done at a very slow speed to encourage the dog to use it's brain in a different way & slow down it's actions.
We talked about tension patterns, in particular the ones Mols demonstrates, signs of relaxing and the tutor made some observations on Molly which I had never noticed & yet I live with her 24/7

and have done for 18 months!
Both Molly & I were shattered when we finished and had spent some real quality time with each other - we just curled up and went to sleep
All in all, I'd say I learned loads yesterday, not only about TTouch but also about Molly and I'd highly recommend it
