I know this isnt for a Springer but we're not having much luck so far with finding people in the areas the run goes through. If anyone can help we would be very grateful.
Oldies Club need to move Butch, a 7 yr old GSD X (GSD size) from his home to his foster home, from Daventry NN11 to Plymouth PL9. He is friendly but lively and quite boisterous. He is said to travel well.
A suggested route is:-
A5,
M1,
M6,
M42,
M5
time taken 4 hours 40 mins
Butch will be legally owned by Oldies Club. We have full liability insurance but anyone helping with this run will need to have notified their motor insurance company that they are transporting dogs on a voluntary basis for rescue. There should be no charge for this amendment.
Transporting guidelines will be issued to all those volunteers who take part with this.
As yet we have no set date for this run. Butch has recently being neutered so will require some time to recover before being moved. His owner may be able to help with his transport.
If you can help with any part of this run we would be grateful
Suggested handover points (approx 1 hour apart)This isnt set in stone and can by flexible.
Home to Corley Services or Hopwood Services (depending if owner can help out with run and how far they can go)
Hopwood Services to Michaelwood Services POSSIBLY SORTED
Michaelwood to Bridgwater Services POSSIBLY SORTED
Bridgwater to Exeter - POSSIBLY SORTED
Exeter - Foster Home - SORTED
Depending on when this is arranged for, I might be able to do the Michael Wood to Bridgewater section.
PM me when you have details and I'll let you know if I am available.

This is right on my door step and would love to help, OH works in Daventry although im not sure if the car would be suitable unless we use a crate? We live off the A5 in nuneaton and so if any more help is needed please pm me.

If you could that would be brilliant. Do you have a dog guard or any way of securing them?
I havent heard back from emailing the owner so I will have to give them a ring tomorrow to find out if they can do any of the run or if we need pickup straight from the home.
Still stuck for the first part. Owners have confirmed they cannot help so need volunteers from Daventry onwards.
This is sorted now and should be running on Sunday.
Thank you to all who have offered assistance
Ooh, Butch was lovely! We nearly became failed transporters! Would have loved to take him home. But he should hopefully be safely with his foster now. Good luck lad, hope you find a lovely forever home soon!
