I would love to help out if I can - time is limited as I work full time, but while I could do transport runs on occasion, I was wondering what training or experience was needed to do home or dog assessment visits?
where abouts are you, you could buddy uo with someone for the dog assessments,
I'd be happy to help in the summer months. (Work winter!) I'm in Bedfordshire.
I don't know about other rescues but ESSW have home check and dog assessment forms that we ask you to fill in, along with that we also issue guidelines on exactly what to do and speak at length with you about them before you go to do a job for us.
I'd be happy to send you some if you just wanted a browse through to see the sort of thing we expect, I'd need your email address.
Also as Mary has said if there is someone close by you could always go along with them to see what it's all about.
Different rescues work in different way's so where as we issue the forms and guidelines another rescue may not be as thorough, or even want to know more or different information.
I'm in North Wales, near Mold, in Flintshire so could manage Flintshire, Wrexha,, Cheshire or Wirral. Don't know if that's any good?
I would also love to help out if you could pass the guidelines onto me too. I have my driving -*test*-('") in 9 days, so hopefully i can help out with anything.
