Oh My Dog!!! Hubby took Bailey and Tess out this morning, and they dissapeared behind some trees for a while. Anyway, we found out what they had been up to when I got downstairs after me shower to the MOST DOG AWFUL smell. ohmy.gif mad.gif

Bailey had brought up her breakfast, and along with it, well, sorry, but it had to be poo! She must have eaten a belly full of fox or badger cr4p! It stank, I nearly added my own vomit to it clearing it up. unsure.gif

Stinky dog!!! ph34r.gif

Plus, how am I ever going to stop her doing laps of the house which include skidding along the leather sofa barking???? I know it's a fine line between enough and not enough exercise, but honestly, I am going to go maaaddd!!! Took them to the old airport today for half an hour or so for a good run, had to get her out and about, and she's only 17 weeks! rolleyes.gif

Mind you, she is getting bigger and prettier by the day, honest, I wake up in the morning and she has grown! Went away for a few days, noticed a BIG dfference when I got back!

If it stinks that bad it's likely to be fox poo laugh.gif laugh.gif
And the only reason I am laughing is because at some point we have all been there....there are a few poo munchers on this site huh.gif
Trust me, be thankful (in some respects) that they didn't roll in it - it's a beggar to get rid of the smell once their fur has absorbed it ohmy.gif

Ah, yeah, see, my silver lining it tempered by the fact that Tess is a roller! Many a time have I carried her to the bath with my eyes watering from the smell!!

STINKY STINKY LITTLE B'GGERS!! laugh.gif

Nah trust me this is the worse, way past lunch time so it should be ok to post this ph34r.gif
Coming back from a day down prawning at the beach and Pap disappears under a wooden footbridge only to reappear a few seconds later stinking to high heaven, we had to take her back down the coast path, trying not to let her come near us as she was smelling that rank, to get her back in the sea water. Half an hour of throwing sticks and pebbles to encourage her to 'go wash herself off' and it hardly made a difference. So noses pegged we had to travel home in the car with all the windows open and I got warm soapy suds and a big container to put her in and dunked and washed her for what seemed like hours outside before the smell went away...........she'd only gone and rolled in a hooman poop, a massive big one that someone had done under the foot bridge when they got caught short, I'm gagging just remembering it, she thought it was lovely and by the looks of her face she'd tried to eat some of it as well ph34r.gif mad.gif laugh.gif

laugh.gif But the joy on her face when she emerged all stinky, what the heck are they thinking of half the time to do something so 'orrible and then expect us to be pleased about it, even the other dogs wouldn't go near her ohmy.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

Makes me larf really, the look on their faces when we shout at them to pack it in rolling in/eating sh1te, then the way they are so disgusted at being showered, it just means they have to go out and do it all again...

Herumpf, looks like I will have to live with it... dirty dogs!!!

B is currently curled up on my lap, right under my arms as I am trying to type, I assume, as they get bigger, they think this is still acceptable? I won't be able to reach the lap top in a few weeks...

Luv 'em!

Am sitting here in the office chuckling away. It's brought back memories of Sophie rolling in hooman poo when we were walking on the Glennifer Braes near Paisley. She came out from under a bush with bright orange stuff smeared all over complete with flapping, spot welded tissues. It was all over her collar, inside and out and stank to high heaven. She was delighted with herself and the place was mobbed. I couldn't get hold of her as she rushed round showing everyone her new designer outfit and the fact that people were scattering in all directions to get away only made her more excited. I was mortified. I eventually did get hold of her with a rugby tackle so we were both covered. I could smell it for weeks (and can pretty much smell it now).

Goodness knows what the hooman had been eating to express such a toxic substance blink.gif

Im glad that Moll isnt the only one. When she gets covered in some eau de poo I wash her (with words of wisdom) in nice shampoo (apple blossom from Lidl). It kills the smell, and fragrances Moll but all she does is find the nearest patch of stink and roll in it.

As for hooman poo, try spaniel swimming in open Klargester biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif blink.gif
Moll went for a dip when the man came to service the sewage treatment works!!! I had to wash her down with the hose, gas mask, and plenty of tinned tomato - it works quite well (anti skunk remedy). biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif ph34r.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Mollie Loves to roll around in it, get coverd and thenfight like a good'un when bath time comes.

Had her out on a wakl a few weeks back and she rand behing agazebo and garbbed the bigges pat of poop you've ever seen. I was running after her telling her to drop it, gagging at the thought of her eating it.

Mollie and I didn't talk for the rest of the day lol

The joys of springer ownership

this reminds me of when angel was a pup. She was rolling something around in her mouth (which i thought was a stick) so worried about her choking i shoved my fingers in her mouth to pull it out! As soon as i felt my fingers sink into the "stick" i just knew it was poo!!! i really didn't like her that day!

Mmmmm............beginning to wonder if I'm mad getting a pup?!

Mind you, should be used to it all after children, particularly after the other night when my son was toddling around without nappy on at bath time, did poo and then walked it all through bedrooms (carpeted), was so revolting daughter decided she needed to be sick...................lovely! So perhaps a puppy will be a doddle after all, even with fox poo attached!

My old dog used to love eating cow pats for some reason, was so revolting coming around the corner to find him lapping away at one in a field. Bleurgh!!

Just as well we love them isn't it! laugh.gif
