Hi
Well, our trip to wales did not go to plan....Unfortunately, the two spaniels we were introduced to did not work with Sally and Yoyo...Sally and one of them had a bit of an altercation, and the other was quite temperamental. Lovely dogs, but Sally and Yoyo's happiness has to be paramount and when sally wa shiding betwen Michael's legs, I realised it was not going to work.
So we are still looking
I would say I don't mind travelling for one...and I don't! But Michael does not have a weekend off now until September and yes, we all know I cannot drive on motorways, so would need to be relatively Ok for me to get to, or perhaps meet halfway?
We were sort of looking between 4 and 8, but would go younger, provided it wasn't too jumpy, as Sally would get fed up with that (little madam!

) and a boy, as again Sally has big ideas on girlies coming into the house (as in, no chance!). Michael really wants a B&W but that is NOT a prerequisite. The only thing I know is I do not want a show springer...I think i would expect it to be like Jasper and disappointed when it wasn't! So working, springer cross, anything like that.
Also, my best friend pops in with her kids about once a week, so although I don't have children, it does need to be good with them....ish!
so, to sum up

a dog that is not too bouncy, but friendly, and good with children, and can be left about 4 hours sometimes (that's not every day!) and who is situated somewhere accessible from an A road
If anyone can help....please bare the travelling thing in mine as I really can't bring myself to travel far in car without Michael
