Once upon a time...

... there was a very kind King




and...

....... a beautiful kind Queen.




They had a beautiful baby who they named Spring White but sadly soon after the kind Queen died.


A few years later, the kind King married again.

His new wife was very beautiful!




But also very vain and a witch to boot!

She would spend all day gazing into her magic mirror. Every so often she would ask it:

"Mirror Mirror on the Wall, am I the fairest of them all?"

to which the mirror would reply:

"Yes, you are, Mistress!"

The Queen would smile and sigh and continue to gaze contendly at her own reflection.

Spring White grew up and as she grew she became more and more beautiful!



Until one day...

...the Queen sat down in front of the mirror and asked:

"Mirror, Mirror, on the wall, Am I the fairest of them all?"

and turned to gloat over the reply......





Can you imagine her horror when when she heard:

"Mirror says Nah!"

She HAD to get rid of Spring White, she snarled!!!!!!!




She summoned....

... her trusty Huntsman!



The Wicked Queen asked him to take Spring White out to the forest and let a "Hunting Accident" befall her!

The next day, Spring White and the Huntsman set off on their hunting trip. When they were at a clearing deep in the forest the Huntsman lifted his rifle ....



... and aimed at Spring White! She was so scared and begged him to let her go free.

The Huntsman didn't really want to kill Spring White and he was very scared of his mistress so...

.... he agreed on the condition that she NEVER returned!


Spring White set off into the deep, dark forest ....

The Huntsman waited until he was sure she was gone, he knew that if the Queen found out he would be in a lot of trouble!

Spring White ran and ran until she could run no more! Just as she was about to give up and rest she came upon a house!

She knocked on the door but it swung open....



She looked inside and called out "Hello", but no-one replied.

Just inside were bowls of food, it didn't smell very nice, but she was so hungry!

Spring White only intended to have a little taste...



.... but very soon it was all gone!

Now she realised how tired she really was so...

She thought to herself "I'll just have a quick rest on this bed then get back on my journey"



But it was nearly evening now and Spring White had run such a long way that she fell into a deep sleep.

Spring White awoke with a start!




There was a funny little pup looking at her, she let out a loud shriek!
