Sir Freddy- 07-04-2008
Need to add that a) Freddy and Brice have been taken away for a boys night out with my B-in-L - he offered to help and getting rid of my mature males will help us all. Mugi is shattered and asleep in my bedroom after being on duty all day at the Royal Show and Chase and a certain cocker drove me nuts chatting to each other through a crate that I decided to let them play. If Benson (second name but he does respond to it) wasn't neutered I wouldn't have risked it but Chase is quite social and they are close in age - they had fun laugh.gif .

I can't fail Eileen sad.gif , I have had one (Freddy) with similar issues (although worse) and with my lifestyle at the moment it wouldn't be fair to Benson. If I had space he wouldn't be leaving but I know 4 plus another (2) currently in the pipeline it is just not on.

He will make a fab lad for the right place and on a very short and informal assessment I think he would love to be part of a multi-dog household.

He loves furniture, is very human (female certainly) orientated and now he is settled in his (or rather Mugi's) crate he is snoozing well.

Well Done all of you, he looks smashing and now he'll be getting the right help will soon be ready for a new home.

I am more than in wub.gif wub.gif
This boy is absolutely fantastic! He has met all 15 of our dogs and has been an absolute gentleman with them! We have just got back from a very wet & windy walk and he ran & ran & ran like he had never had freedom before? sad.gif
At the moment I don't think the word "aggressive" features in his vocabulary but will update you after feeding time this evening!! rolleyes.gif

Thank you all once again for helping get this lad to safety wink.gif
It would have been an absolute travesty if he had been pts! mad.gif

Eileen, a very very big thank you to you for everything you did to save this boy, it was well worth it, believe me! wink.gif

Olga, he was fine at feeding with me - ok I gave him his bowl and left him in peace but he had bounced me with a grin on his gob while I put it down. Before he left this morning he had a few pieces of sausage tossed on the floor and again he was fine and when I gave some to my youngster who was in his crate there was no look of annoyance or anything to indicate stress.

His only 'vice' was a tendency to nibble on finger and clothing with teeny nips but not to hurt and not causing any bruising. Apart from putting him away from me when he did it I did nothing to 'reprimand' him as he has had enough upset and I am sure once he has settled that will soon be ironed out as unacceptable.

I hope he gets the life he deserves, he did seem a very happy lad for one going through so many changes in his short life.

Wow smile.gif. What a team effort.

Sounds like someone's a very lucky little guy who has landed on his paws. wink.gif. 15 dogs to show him how good life can be - just brilliant.

Well, thought you might all like to see Spencer, the "HIGHLY AGGRESSIVE" Cocker that fortunately with some wonderful help from these forums we managed to save from death! ohmy.gif

It's been 2 days now since he has been here and he has been absolutely fantastic. The 1st day at feeding time, he ate in a crate. He started barking so I thought he had finished eating. I opened the door of the crate and went to take his food bowl out and realised he hadn't finished! I just shut the door again and he continued to eat! He showed absolutely no aggression whatsoever to me when I put my hand near his bowl, in fact he just wagged his tail and barked as if to say "boy, this is nice"!! rolleyes.gif

"We haven't found an aggressive bone in his body" is an understatement! mad.gif

He is just your typical, gobby, norty, teenage cocker! laugh.gif who just needs to learn some manners! rolleyes.gif
The Golden Cocker, Daniel, came to us at 6 months with more or less exactly the same "issues" as Spencer and again he is the most wonderful, nice-natured dog you could imagine and just needed someone to teach him the ground rules!! smile.gif

I still can't believe that a certain breed rescue was going to have this lad PTS! mad.gif It certainly makes my blood boil! mad.gif
