Today was the Scottish Ally Rally and if we needed any sign that someone was looking out for my babes then we didnt need to look far.
My life stopped dead when I looked ahead at the end of the walk and realised Willow and Bilbo had got onto the old viaduct and railway track just ahead of us - they must have followed a rabbit to both be up there, and it seemed to take minutes for them to come down, though it was probably not even a minute.
They came trotting back with not a care in the world and then our hearts all stopped dead as an engineering train came at full tilt along the track.
God bless whoever watched over my babes today, I am still reeling and although nothing happened I am still running it over and over in my head.
thank goodness there was brandy in the mince pies.
Will start a separate thread about what a great walk we had as this is just a thank-you.
Thank heavens they are safe - and thanks to your doggie guardian angel
Coo. Thank goodness they're safe, I had a heart stopping moment reading that. I'm glad you had a good walk though
heart in mouth moment for definite.
Oh my word

thankdog they are safe and sound!
Its made me go cold just thinking about it.
Thanks goodness they are safe and sound and that their little doggie guardian angel was watching over them
My heart was in my mouth too - I'm just glad they are both OK
Freya - now all is ok I hate to tell you that it's not an old viaduct and railway track, but the main line to Inverness from Perth
OMG that would have been terrifying. So glad that it passed without incident, I sometimes have moments where i think oh god if something happened to jack...
no doubt that ally would be looking out for them and sendning them away from that track...
OMG!
I think Ally must have had a hand in it too, you were there in her name after all.
Oh heck, have gone cold and sick just reading that. Thank heavens someone was looking over them.
Give em a big squeeze from me and one for yourself. xxx
