Any news?

sparkydee- 08-19-2008
well, vet spoke to me, he is responding well to the fluids, bloods came back - quote "all over the place" they want to keep him in overnight on fluids, he has had an antibiotic injection, he suspects "Cholangiohepatitis" and mentioned gall bladder.
he hopes he can come home tomorrow with antibios and steriods on the basis he continues to improve and eat.

anyone with any knowledge of this? have googled, but its a bit difficult to figure out ph34r.gif

still v worried about my little boy, am going to see him after work just to make sure he knows i havent forgotten him.

off for a bit of a weep in the loo now ph34r.gif

sparkydee- 08-20-2008
poor milo has to stay in vets again tonight, he had more diaroherra last night and this morning, tho he did finish his food last night. They said just that he is still very lethargic, and receiving a/b's. sad.gif sad.gif sad.gif

hopefully will find out more when i go see him later sad.gif

Daisy_Dawg- 08-20-2008
Oh, no, not what I was hoping you were going to say this afternoon.

Give him hugs and kisses from us when you see him. xx

sparkydee- 08-20-2008
poor milo is no better, if not worse.

vet showed me main worry on blood result being low protein. He is still having bad diarohea, and is very lethargic and not so responsive to moving for me. He is eating, but that could be the steroids.

after discussing with the vet, he thinks best case scenario its the hepatitis, but he also suspects there may be a protein leak into his stomach - think he said protein lesion atropy? cant find much on google about it, but if thats what it is he wont get through it.

he is there agian tonight on fluids, with another dose of a.bs and steroids in the morning, with the vet discharging him tomorow whatever, to see if he perks up at home and taking the a/bs and steroids. if he doesnt pick up - he said within 7 days - then i should have him pts. personally i think if he doesnt pick up over the weekend i will have to give it serious thought rather than wait and watch him suffer/wither away sad.gif

i never asked the vet about it but the whites of his eyes look not bloodshot but bluish, not sure what that means - anyone? there were blue concentrations quite visible when he was rolling his eyes to look at me.

anyway, I know hes a cat but i love him very much, his wonderful sweet manner and gentleness, and his high pitched miaow sad.gif

please keep as much positive thoughts going coz i havent got many at the mo sad.gif

Daisy_Dawg- 08-20-2008
Sarah, I'm so sorry it's not better news, and poor, poor Milo.

(And him being a cat is no reason to not love him, hunny, and I can say that as Bruno cuddles up next to me while I type.)

Still pacing for you and have everything crossed that there is an improvement overnight.

Hugs

xx
