Sasha, a yellow labrador "with a tail that never stopped wagging" was an explosives dog working with the British Army in Afghanistan. She died on Thursday in Helmund Province with her handler L/Cpl Ken Rowe.

My thoughts are with Ken Rowe's family but also with Sasha. At peace now with her master forever.

How sad. Sympathies go to all concerned. WOnder if this is one of the dogs that KaSi's husband met when he was out there.

A brave man and a brave dog, we are all thinking of the family too. It's so so sad. At least Sasha died working, which I am sure she loved, and with the brave soldier she worked so hard for.

Hadn't heard about this as we have been away. Simon will be gutted, for the man and the dog Will have to ask him tonight.

Having dreaded, and thankfully never got, that "knock at the door" my heart goes out to this mans family. We are losing too many
