we have just come back from a very pleasant few days, staying with our friends in Essex. Rufus and Stellar were very well behaved (such a relief when there are cream carpets to consider!) _Stellar only resembled 'swamp thing' once, and had to be bathed! They had a lovely time trying out their friend Cove's local walks, and going to the sea side too.

Rufus looking handsome in the woods - he disappeared for a couple of minutes and returned with a long dead squirrel in his gob! (my godson thought it was plastic as it was so stiff :0) )

We found a beach side cafe/bar... Rufus made sure it was cafeine free



Then we found the sea!


...all the dogs loved it! As did small boys!

The dogs were all glad to snuggle up of an evening and snooze...

The only strange thing was that Cove was completely obsessed with Rufus's ears, she just wanted to have one in her mouth at all times We are hoping she grows out of this though as we'd like to go on holiday together next year

I just love the adventures of Rufus and Stellar!!!!

Looks Fab Polly! Was it their first experience of the sea? We took ours once and Sally did one who knows where she was trying to get, we haven't been back.

Thanks Danni... yes it was their first time at the sea - on the walk down the beach the tide was out, and there were just mud flats and rock pools to play in, but on the walk back the tide was in, and they were running around in it like it was something they did everyday... Stellar managed to chew/roll on, a dead fish, a live crab - though it wasn't when she'd finished with it and a dead jelly fish!

We had such a lovely weekend, I wish I lived somewhere where seaside walks were more accessible,
