Stanley our two year old sprocker is obsessed by the farm quad and motorbikes.He gets uncontollably excited and 10 minutes later still tries to track.We have tried everything even hiring a quad and leaving him to get used to it which he has no problem with, pushing it,no problem, starting it -well then he starts his antics. Not really sure how to deal with this and neither does anyone else we have spoken to.the only thing that has an effect is to hold his face till he calms down,not accepted practice i know but we obviously dont hurt him just stare at him and calm him.
Ideas welcomed please

I assume it is the noise or is it when it starts moving? How does he react with motorbikes in the street?

It is both but when the noise comes with the movement and I think the smell in particular (as he tracks it close to the ground) is the worst. Same with motorbikes in the street - this is why I am so desperate to sort it as if he happens to be off lead then i could loose him in traffic - if on lead he just goes mad and then the walk is spoilt.
