No wonder she was so restrained whilst being groomed yesterday!! The groomer came across an 'unpleasant' knot on her rear end After carefully clipping the offending matt away it revealed a rather swollen lump on one side. She's been to the vet this afternoon who diagnosed an abscess on her anal gland . He managed to treat it - ugh! and she is now on antibiotics to clear the infection. He asked if she had been bottom dragging but she had not. We had absolutely no idea that she had this poor thing!! Let's hope it does not recur. Never experienced this with any of my other dogs or cats.
