... wish me luck.
I today got my email confirmation of the running order for Chase's first ever competition

. He is taking part in a Spring Pointing Test on saturday and to say I am nervous is an understatement.
At the same time I entered Mugi who, despite his advanced years in essence is a pup in training still. I entered him on the understanding he would only run if he wasn't taking the place of a younger dog but as there has been a withdrawal he is now also running.
So Dog #4 is Chase who will hunt fast, wide and with huge natural talent. He has great game finding ability but his pointing can go haywire as is natural for a young dog - excitement sometimes gets the better of him.
Dog #6 is Mugi who is very steady and doesn't hunt with flair (he learned to pace himself during this last season

) but he has not so far missed a bird in the fields we have been training in.
I don't expect a grading for either dog but I want to get experience and have an enjoyable day out with like minded people.
