Pipex were bought by Tiscali recently, Tiscali have been applying their not so high standards to Pipex broadband, hence a lot of dissatisfied Pipex customers.

Do a search and you'll find more information about it, there seems to be a mass exodus from Pipex now wink.gif

Tiscali migrating pipex customers

I had a brief brush with Pipex/Tiscali when I was going to migrate to Pipex, I quickly changed my mind when I read what was happening and cancelled, Tiscali then had the cheek to threaten me with debt collector for not paying for a service I'd never had, a quick call to trading standards sorted them out, although I still got letter after letter threatening me

I’ve been with Freedom-2-Surf for years. They’ve recently been taken over by Tiscali.

My Dad was with Tiscali – I moved him after a few long winded / costly ‘phone conversations with their telephone support people. I told them the USB contraption was knackered at the outset (having -*test*-('")ed it) but they still went through the standard “change the filter” motions, even though I’d already done it!

If Freedom-2-Surf service deteriorates, I’ll move to another ISP – would even consider good old BT!

ta robert. will take a look.

Not so free as you think Fudds, look at the leaflet and small print in last months magazine, the basic tv package is going up form 18 a month to 23!!! Bit naughty that, it only went up from 15 about 6 months ago. If we didn't live so far from the exchange I'd be changing to O2.
