My much loved constant pain of a dog - you know the type wub.gif mad.gif has got another lump on the same toe she had an operation a few months ago. Seems very strange and almost like a double lump, side by side. She is sensitive when you touch it - doesn't yelp or anything but acts as if it itches or something. She's been licking it which alterted us to it.

I've just phoned the vets and made an appointment for 4.10 tomorrow. That's the time I can see Jo the vet who operated on the previous lump.

Honestly, that dog blink.gif and I've just been complaining about her being totally disobedient in the garden - love her to bits though wub.gif

Well Jo the vet had a good look at madam's toe and really felt that apart from the joint being a little enlarged and the area being red that it was nothing to worry about. Comparing the toes on both of Lucy's feet, she does have large joints and that added to the fact the she's been licking one makes sense to me.

She had an area which looked like a small wound which was a little gunky yesterday and I've kept it clean (as much as I can blink.gif ) and bathed in CS.

Basically Jo is not concerned but said to ring if it changed for the worse over the next couple of days.

Maybe (for once) I was being a worrier blink.gif but as it was the same toe as her previous problem I wanted to get it checked.

Lucy was delighted to see Jo who gave her a biscuit and a cuddle and didn't charge for the consultation.

Thanks for all your support,

Val and, of course, Lucy wub.gif
