Well this was a new one on me!!!

This morning Badger somehow managed to open the front door blink.gif and he was off ohmy.gif 8am saw me tearing down the street shouting badger, half dressed and looking a mess! A couple of builders grabbed him as he got to the end of the road. Then I realised I was locked out, having run out without my key!!

So, Monday morning, a handy chap is comign to install a different lock which cannot be broken open by an excitable dog!!

my heart has finally started beating properly again........ blink.gif

I won't hold it against him though, we have had an excellent week with recall on the park, and thursday he was sooooooo good that all the other dog walkers who have watched my training over the last few weeks all gave him extra treats as he came back to me while in the middle of playing and completely distracted. Way to go Badger.

Now if you could refrain from opening the door between now and monday......needless to say I won't be leaving the hose without him till then, just in case!!!!!! rolleyes.gif smile.gif

My parents had to lock their cat flap because someone escaped through it... ph34r.gif It is a bit bigger than ours, so will have to wait for him to grow a bit more before our cat can come and go freely from their house!

Our Paddy Springer used to open our front door. Roger changed the handle to a round one so he couldn't pull it down.
Naughty Badger but well done with the training.

Sounds so so familiar...all the door handles in my house are now the round sort to avoid little escapes. I came home from work once to find my new puppy standing in the passage looking at me! I have to say I was dreading entering the living room to see what damage he had caused but I think he was so excited to have free roam of the house that he didn't stop to break anything!

Sorry Danni, but I had to laugh at you running down the street half dressed!
I can imagine how you felt though! I hope Badger has made it up to you! (((hugs)))
