OK I'm here again biggrin.gif asking for more advice.
Meg keeps nipping/biting my feet or slippers to the point of hurting. I have tried shouting ouch, no and walking away but she will not stop. I have even tried holding her snout closed for 3 seconds. I went and bought some puppy chew deterent spray- that didnt have any effect. Help please sad.gif

Aww poor you. Show me a puppy that hasn't done that tho, and I'll be very surprised. They ALL do it, you just gotta get through this few weeks. I would say uh-uh and walk away (if puppy isn't hanging onto you laugh.gif )... if necessary put the pup out of the room for a minute or so, or you leave the room for a minute or so (no longer should be necessary). Have you tried redirecting her bitey-ness onto toys ? that often works too. Tuggy on a toy with you turns it into a nice game and one that doesn't hurt your feet !

somewhere on here there is a link to an article about puppies and biting - it explains it is a process they have to go through, as it is by 'play' biting as a pup that they learn how much force not to use on us wimpy humans...

just persevere with ignoring, and yelping - albas oil put mine off chewing things they shouldn't too...

and if that doesn't work, you could wear doc martins or wellies until the phase passes! biggrin.gif

Good luck!

I think you mean this: http://www.jersey.net/~mountaindog/berner1/bi-*test*-('")op.htm

I found this really concise and well explained!

That is the best possible link - and as for 'rattle bottles' or cans or whatever - there is a very good reason why these TV programmes carry warnings like 'do not try this at home'...............
