Mimi is a wonderful little dog, she had been scared to go near the water bowl but has just had a nice long drink so she has definitely started to relax, she also wouldn't eat so I put a nice smelly bowl of minced tripe and chicken down near the front of the crate and took my three out for a nice walk so she had time to herself to explore a little and eat in peace, I came back there's tripe and mince everywhere she obviously thought it was fun to play with it , about half eaten though so that's good, just got it all cleaned up with the help of my three .

When I came in after leaving her she was still cowering but was wagging her tail cause she was pleased to see me and had a little excited wee on the hallway rug, I thought it was great she was happy enough to do an excited wee with tail wagging, she is now venturing down the hallway to peek at me in the office and has followed me right through the house out to the back garden but is to scared to go by herself. She's still tail low but is peeking at me around the office door as I type, definitely getting a bit braver

It's with dogs like 'mimi' that the whole name and explain part of SATS would make such a difference to her . . . .poor we love.

How is Rufus managing to curb wanting to play with her????

She's got such a sad look about her, but sounds if your making good progress, it will be lovely to see photos of her with the sadness gone

Oh Selina she is just gorgeous. Although her eyes say it all her mouth does seem to have a little Mona Lisa type smile.

I'm amazed we have made huge progress in just one day which I certainly wasn't expecting, we've just taken things very slowly, she loves Rob all but nervously and he has spent time just sitting with hre which has helped loads.
She has been for a drive in the car, both in the estate by herself and with a seat belt harness on the back seat, she's not overjoyed but she wasn't horrendously stressed either.
We've done short walks with Ollie and she was much better than last night and didn't hit the floor whenever a car went past, we took her to a field on a long line and she stayed reasonably close so I got her to sit with Rob and whistled her and did the big enthusiastic calling her and she came, more to do with the liver cake than me I have to admit, she will do virtually anything for liver cake.

But the biggest step was cutting all those matts out of her, she let us do the first ear, then the second ear must have been really painful so to be cautious we put the muzzle on her and she let us carry on, she didn't try and bite once, I just didn't want to take the risk, unfortunately we had to take most of the feathers off of her back legs cause they were just thick matts of hard poo, not nice at all.
After all that she let us bath her as well, she was a very good girtl today.

and Sandy she has eaten in her crate twice, with her bum and back legs still outside and her head in but we are getting there .

Last night I didn't think I'd get half as much of that done today so I am very pleased.

She's also progressed to laying on the mat outside my office door and not down the hall by the front door

Kindness and patience will always win, I've surprised myself with how quickly she's coming round I certainly didn't expect it, Rob is definitely playing a large part in this dog's welfare, he's got her laying on the floor next to his seat on the settee already, I just hope she keeps it up.

We was told she wasn't housetrained as well but we haven't hd any accidents yet
