We stayed at the Munro Inn over the weekend so we could get to Perth for the Spring Thing walk on Saturday. I know it's mentioned on the main site, but thought an up to date comment would help.
The owners have 2 dogs themselves and they enjoy having others to stay - there were 10 dogs (13 human guests) in the hotel on Saturday night!! The Inn is very tastefully done, but in no way too posh for dogs - nicely relaxed Fi says. There's the same pleasant feel you get in a hostel - but with a BAR (excellent range of malt whisky - Hurrah). If you want to stay off the booze the library has a huge selection of books, games and internet access. We liked Brendan's jukebox - very much our sort of music (all his own collection).
The rooms are very comfortable in a minimalist way. The boys designed them to keep their Victorian character and size, while adding a modern twist. Plenty of room for the dogs, but they ask for them to be kept off the beds (fair enough). The hot chocolate and coffee is all Fair Trade.
The position is great, as it's near to Callander - this makes for easy access, but still very much in the Highlands. Lots of walks in the area and sites to visit.
All in all it comes out as
The only downside is that the owners are thinking of moving on - so get up there now while it's a dog haven.
