Molly is home smile.gif She is lying next to me on the couch, with her pink bandaged leg !
She had a lateral cordal fracture at the humerous pre disposed?(whatever that means) unsure.gif
The vet has put 4 pins in it for now sad.gif He is not happy that it is not aligned enough and wants to operate again to put a screw in huh.gif He is going to speak to a specialist tomorrow**** Ate some chicken and rice and i have had her outside for the toilet!
Might have a problem with Indie and sleeping arrangements. Not decided what to do yet :unsure unsure.gif Just glad to have her home smile.gif

Bless Indie will be glad she's coming home, as I'm sure will you.

Good to hear she is home! Just be careful she doesn't just leap off the couch! Where do they normally sleep, are they crated?

Lets hope you find out tomorrow on what the specialist advises.

I would imagine it is a lateral condylar fracture (kind of the lumpy bit on the outside of the elbow upper 'arm'). Not sure what the pre-disposed bit is though.

Sorry - orthopaedic nurse in previous life rolleyes.gif .

glad that she is home

How did she sleep??

That sounds like a very similar fracture to the one Bonnie had when she was little. The elbow joint was described to me as being like a tuning fork either side of the single 'prong' of the lower bone - madam broke one of the tuning fork bits. She coped very well with limited mobility while bandaged, but has been left with a permanent weakness - knowing what I know now, I wish we'd taken some advice on physiotherapy to strengthen it and maybe done some hydrotherapy.
