Lucy's new Dad came to meet her at the ESSW sponsored walk this weekend and asked that she be called Lucy, which actually really suits her and she is already answering to it.

We have made such progress in the last couple of days, she is still very scared of anything completely new but athome she is turning into a cheeky little madam laugh.gif .

She jumps in and out of the back of the car now, even when the other dogs are in it, she is happy to go in a crate all by herself and even took herself off there at the weekend when the house was a little busy, she jumps on the bed in the morning for a cuddle when the other dogs are invited up but sleeps on her blanket on the floor at the foot of the bed all night long, she will sit and wait when asked, she can be left confidently with no chewing at home and today the best two things happened, she volunteered a little kiss which I thought was great progress but then she beat even that, Titchy had a rope toy and she went and pulled the other end to play, it's the first sign she's shown of doing anything playful, a real warm moment. wub.gif

Her new Dad is coming to see her again next week when hopefully her season will be finished and she can go to her new home smile.gif I think the house will be very 'empty' when she goes to start her new life. rolleyes.gif

selina hi,
just a short note to let you know how things are going. lucy-lu is an absolute delight and a joy to be with. she is settling in really well and is quite at home now, even after just a couple of weeks. we've started obedience classes and the instructor tells us she is very intelligent. she certainly picks up commands very quickly. she's had her first set of inoculations and a provisional date for spaying in november. i'll keep you up to speed as we go along. i think i've been very lucky and thank you and robert very much.

How great is that, her Mum is as excited as she is I think that they've got her so happy with toys, a real heart warmer. She is definitely a dog that has taken an ickle bit of my heart with her, very special just like her new Mum and Dad.
