I don't know if I'm doing something wrong here but it seems to more I brush him, the worse he gets. Now he's all static as well. blink.gif blink.gif

It seems the zoom groom is really effective on the white bits and the comb with lazzy band / coat king thing are better on the black bits. But I seem to just keep taking it off and it never stops and always looks worse when I've finished. The black bits are getting particulary static and fly away when I groom them ( Marls is currently hearing up and down the garden on his head putting them back in place! laugh.gif ) Tehre's tons coming out though.

Am I doing something wrong here? or is something missing from his diet? Do I just keep grooming till it stops coming out? huh.gif

Has he been neutered? This often sends a springers coat "woolly". My oldest springer is horrendous and it really is a case of just managing her coat.

maybe you could wipe him over with a tumble fresh sheet? That gets the static out of my towels a treat - and he would smell gorgeous biggrin.gif

then Marls and Rubes are a right pair - maybe we could start a new breed. comb and comb with lazzy band - comes out a treat but she still looks like a burst cushion - her white bits are lovely - soft and smooth - unfortunatly she only as white bits on her chest sad.gif

whats this combing with a lazzy band business?

Godolphin Girl- 03-31-2008
well apparantly you thread a elastic band through a comb and comb them and the band pulls out all the old dead stuff - which it does but its a bit like the more you do the more there is - blink.gif

thinning scissors, take the top knot off with single sided thinning scissors and take the back hocks etc off, hmmmm, keep on top of it until fling, then at least Mary can look at him properly, dont think its a clipping job, you just need to be more aggressive with it
