You will love it. In a stunning location - lots of walks from the farm without having to get in the car. Blencathra and Helvellyn close by and also Keswick which is great for shopping and eating - lots of the shops and pubs are dog friendly. Not actually stayed at Low Nest but the rooms look lovely from the website. Let us know what you think as it may be somewhere we would like to stay as we visit Keswick several times a year.

Could not agree more smile.gif I would like to do this one later this year, the other day I was wondering what Britain was all about, then I found this link, it takes a little while to load but the beauty of the views is truly humbling ohmy.gif

Wow.
That's stunning. I walked a lot as a kid there, our family holidays were to Wasdale Head and I still have massive fondness for that area (and memories of very aching legs!)

Just interested WM2 - did you stay at Low Nest Farm and would you recommend it ?

Hi
Yes and Yes

It is a dog holiday, the owners have a 6 weimaraners (sp?) and the dogs are welcome anywhere the exception of the breakfast room.
Rooms 7 & 8 are the newest and best.
There are a set of Kennels if you want to pop out but these are OK for a short time only (couple of hours)
About 10 minutes into Keswick by car
Some good walks locally, and well located for Helvellyn and Blencathra
Theres also a good campsite at High Rigg, which you would pass on the walk down into Keswick through the woods
Cheers WM2
