When Angel was about 8/10mths old she went through a phase of being scared of everday objects that she thought were out of place during walks ie wheelie bins, bags of rubbish and if there was something new in the garden such as a table she would bark at it until i took her up close and showed her nothing to be scared of. Apparently this is quite a common thing for youngsters to go through.

Now we are allowed her short walks she has started with this behaviour again, does anyone know if this is normal at the age of 4 to go through tis again or is it something to do with not being out for a long time? On our evening walk she stood transfixed staring at a rubbish sack for ages, there was no persuading her to move on and i can't just pull her because of her hip. She is turning into the biggest wuss ever rolleyes.gif

Guess it's just back to basics and handfuls of sausage to tempt her past the scaries?
Glad she's well enough for little walks though, it's been a long while for you both smile.gif

No idea but she's been through a lot and its a while since she's been out properly, perhaps it will just take time.

I know you are right - I just feel like 4 years of hard work on both our parts has gone down the drain! She certainly isn't the good little girl you met on the walks rolleyes.gif I will have to re-name her Damien! She will only come out the crate if she wants to - other than that she is going to do just what she wants!

It is so good to be out walking again though, i have really missed it. we are upto 20mins 3 times a day
