Unfortunately, i didnt get a piccie of Charlie with a mud splattered face, however this is a pic of him 'contemplating' a good old dig in the garden.

Moll has taken up the art of digging holes in my parents lawn. Their gardener has no idea why she is doing this. I do. Some time back a neighbours cows/bulls got out and rampaged about in my parents pristine garden. This meant hoof prints (holes to you and me) all over the lawns. The farmer kindly filled these in, some with soil and turf, others with chicken manure. Yes, I suspect you've guessed it. Moll has been digging for spaniel gold - well rotted chicken poo. The holes were the give away (hoof shaped)!!

Our old English springer used to dig holes in the flowerbeds and in his 'own' garden under the oil tank. His was more traditional in his gardening. He wanted to bank his bones and bowls. Actually the bowls ended up in the ice house. For some reason Robbie always prefered his bones smelly and horrible!!
