If I was to die - what would happen to my springer Justin? Justin will be 4 years old next week. I live in Croydon. Is there anyone out there who would like to take on Justin in the event of my death? I'm only 36 so I shouldn't die just yet, but you never know.....

Your best option is to discuss with a family member or friend what you want to happen to Jasper. Write out your wishes and enclose phone numbers for ESS Welfare Organisations then lodge it with your will. In emergency situations there are a number of options for a dog, often a friend or member of the family will want to help and is great but it is definitely worth thinking and preparing for the worst then hopefully you will never need to think of it again.

Nobody amongst my limited family/friends could take him.

In that case if it is something that is really worrying you then I would get in touch with your local ESS Welfare Rep and discuss with them what they could do to help, then give the details to a friend or family member so if the worst happened the welfare org could step in speedily to help.

I don't know if this helps anyone but when I was young I used to lie awake worrying about what would happen to my children/dogs/cats/husband if I were to die. That kind of worrying seems to be a fairly normal process. Hopefully that is all it is in this case. smile.gif

I know what you mean. I used to think strange thngs when the ex oh worked way... like if any thing happened to me in the night what would happen to my children and dog.... but that aside....

Charlotte, you have a lot of people worried now, are you ok?

If my landlord were to evict me then I'd be homeless & unable to look after Justin, so I'd have to commit suicide as I refuse to be either homeless or seperated from Justin. But I would never abandon Justin, I have to make sure he'll always have a good home. Justin is the most important thing in my life - my life revolves around him.

Hi Charlotte smile.gif Why would your landlord want to evict you? And even if he did your first thoughts would be finding a new home for you&Justin smile.gif There is always a way smile.gif
