Yippee, can have a short break (10th - 14th August) and am looking for springer pup friendly accommodation, dog friendly beach nearby a great bonus.

Anyone know of any good 3*ish hotels or nice pub accommodation - doesn't matter where but preferably not an extreme distance from Suffolk (eg not Cornwall/Extreme Frozen North), tho Northumbria would be NICE.

can't help you unfortunately but if you want to come to Northumbria then try:

and you can search for accommodation

Happy holiday when it comes wherever you go!

If you fancy Northumberland, there are a couple of places in Otterburn:

I have had friends stay at the Percy Arms who have taken dogs in but not sure if it was because they knew the owner?

Somewhere that definitely allows dogs into the room is Otterburn Towers:

It's about an hour, maybe more to the beach but you are near Kielder Forest and the Cheviots.

If you do come to Northumberland, you'll have to come across and meet my gwps.

Otterburn is about 7 miles from the Scottish Border.

I will!

Is it further than Durham? I actually like it oop north cos you've got much much nicer landscapes, it's a bit 'flet' where I come from, but there's a mild pro-*test*-('") from my brood about going somewhere cold. I've obviously passed on my suspicion that anything north of Cambridge is in perpetual darkness/blizzard laugh.gif
