I am sick to the back teeth of hoovers!! Every time I get a new one it works for a while and then stops picking up! I bought a vax upright last year, Ive cleaned every single thing on it and it still wont pick up!! What a waste of money! And would never buy a Dyson either, so what do I buy now?? Help!!!! biggrin.gif And uprights are just no good in my tiny house with loads of nooks and crannies to get in, and now having two dogs Im desperate! sad.gif Has anyone got a really good cylinder cleaner that actually works?

Why do you not just get rid of your carpets biggrin.gif

i am sick of our dyson - it picks up for about 5 mins, then i have to cut all the hair out of the brushes again... human hair, not the pup variety - my daughter has hair down to her waist, one strand blocks the plughole! Thankfully only one floor has carpets on, the rest gets swept an mopped

I have a Miele H.E.P.A 5280, it's great.

It's light, easy to use on the stairs, picks up all the dog hairs and is flexible enough to clean the top edge of the skirting boards. - cleans everything from curtains to our thick piled rug in the front room.
We also bought the optional car care kit which we use around the house in hard to reach places (ie under the fridge) - Only drawback is Merlin thinks it's some sort of rival and likes to attack it laugh.gif laugh.gif

We used to have a Dyson - too heavy, too awkward and didn't pick everything up, mind you we have some carpets, some wooden floors and also laminate floors here, so maybe it couldn't cope with all the different surfaces.

similar, not exactly the same one.

I've got a whole house to hoover, you're welcome to come round and try it! Failing that I'll save the hoovering for Fudds to pop round and -*test*-('")!

Got nothing to compare it too really but it seems to work ok and we used it to lift the carpet edges when we wanted to put some speaker wire under!

biggrin.gif Its a hairy 4 legged thing which sheds hair and has a tongue hanging out.
biggrin.gif It moves around the house (floor and furniture and cars) with its head down, nose on the floor sucking up anything it can swallow (even skirting boards). ohmy.gif
laugh.gif Occasionally it will bounce on to the next object to be cleaned, however, a downside is it somehow misses where its 'feet' have just been, dry.gif
but a plus is it recycles. tongue.gif
This type of hoover comes in various colours to suit the individual, but b/w or l/w or r/w seem to be the most commmon. laugh.gif
biggrin.gif biggrin.gif Can also be used as a fitness thing as can go outside.
unsure.gif Actually i dont think its very good at cleaning baths.

Any one else got one like this? biggrin.gif

Ive just been given an electrolux upright, and its bloomin marvellous!! Whether it will remain so waits to be seen!! biggrin.gif But its still in the argos book, and dead cheap, so if anyones looking on a budget, it comes highly recommended from me!
