Hi, I've been visiting this brilliant forum for a while, and we love all things springer, but Welsh above all. So I hope you'll forgive me when I post this.............
we are a spaniel family, and after the loss of our lovely Jessie - Golden Cocker- the old Welshie is a bit fed up of being on his own, bottom of the pile to two cats and 12 chickens, he's following me around all day and sleeping under my desk as I write. So we can offer a great home for a young female (his choice) or will consider a male.
We don't have any young children, are home all day, large garden and acres of farmland and woodland around us - spaniel heaven.
Did I mention the canal - lots of muddy water.
We are in South Wales, but will travel a reasonable distance.
Have you contacted Welshie Rescue - they will be the best people to help you.
hi, Canine Kelly
thanks for the info, I've been in touch with our local Welsh springer club in South Wales, but nothing has come up. As there are so few WSS born in a year, there are relatively few that ever need rehoming, which is a good thing.
I'll keep looking, but suspect we will go for a puppy soon.
Thanks again, and may all your dog walks be muddy ones!
Sue
I'm no help to you either, just like to welcome you and ask for piccies please

.
Hi and welcome from another Welshie fan!
We're also going to be adding a Welshie to our family soon - we're on two waiting lists for litters being born around Xmas time so hope to have our new addition early next year.
It's great that Welshie rescue don't have many that need rehoming - not so good for you obviously but great for the lovely Welshies.
Good luck in your search and I'd second Bagpipes request - piccies please when you have him/her!
If i'm not allowed to post this please remove, but have spotted this little 4 yr old welshie
http://www.clympingdogsanctuary.co.uk/id29.htm Oh no, is he still looking? I thought he'd have been snapped up by now.
I did phone but he's no good with cats so wasn't suitable for us unfortunately.
