Hill walking with the dogs yesterday and Zuri refused to cross a ford.....Merlin was desperate to chase every Arctic Hare we found (the dogs were kept on leads) and Loki....well she pulls (as do the other two)
My question is....Can anybody recommend a harness/halti/....... that will let me lift a wet dog across stream AND give me a little more control when said dog is dancing at the end of his/her lead? (I am also going to sort out some sort of one-to-one training, hopefully that will help)
Thanks
Hx
We've used this -
harnessexcellent for lifting dogs and good for attaching long leads to - very robust but not cheap!
Hi there
EUROHIKE make an almost identical one which is much cheaper (we have two) - and that lifting handle is sooooo handy
We got ours from ebay for about a tenner each - size Medium to fit springee's
I've seen both the eurohike and the ruffwear ones and they are virtually identical.
Titchy has a ruffwear one and that handle is fantastic for lifting mid weight springies out of and over river banks

Ruffwear Webmaster harness tried and -*test*-('")ed in Lakes in October - superb.
Very comfy for dog too. Rosie climbed Great Gable in it - handle very useful for lifting her up some of the bigger rocks !!! I feel she is safer when she wears it. Matching extra strong long lead also available. Try Canine Spirit website.
Good luck with your hill walking.
