- dog training has only got as far as leaving a bowl of kibble when told... I think a (once) live pigeon must be for the advanced class

thankfully, the pigeon was reduced to its constituent parts before coming back to the car - OH says it was definitely on its last legs before Ruf got anywhere near it, as it made feeble efforts to fly. Both will need a bath later as they are covered in feathers

Last year max came up the lane with a duck , next door were very upset and asked what I intended to do about it-When the reply was "im thinking along the lines of plum sauce" came out they failed to see the funny side, as it happened it tasted lovely!!

Glad im not the only one scared of pigeons (well most birds), i stupidly thought angel would only go after them if i had trained her , when she was about a year old i walked into my kitchen to find her sitting there with a bird hanging out of her mouth, silly me told her to leave it which she promptly did and i had the blasted thing flying around my kitchen! she hadn't even marked it in anyway at all.

Thankfully i have only had a couple of repeat performances of this and i always made sure i got her back out in the garden before i told her to leave. I don't understand why she never killed them - i don't know if she was just so shocked that she managed to catch one.

It must be that time of year - yesterday Jake went into the trees in the park and came out with a big fat pigeon! The trouble is they are easy prey as they are like a jumbo jet taking off! Much too slow for a springer!

sally did this last week too but it freaked me out! she had it's blood down her leg and feathers stuck in her mouth and kept trying to give it to me, but I didn't want it!!!
