We also can have a wrong imagine in our heads as the way our dog should eat. happened to me anyway. I expected her to chew properly before she would swallow, but dogs don't eat like that. They just crunch their stuff in managable sizes (manageable from the dog's point of view rolleyes.gif ) and then swallow the lot. When I give madam chicken wings, she just crunches a couple of times to break it up and then swallows the whole lot. only if she has something big like a chicken quarter she has to kind of chew bits of it.

laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif I have one like that Lily biggrin.gif 2 crucnhes and its gone!!! Used to scare me to pieces, I just couldn't believe it. Jenny takes longer as some of her teeth are missing due to her being abused before we got her.........................even so she is still pretty quick. They both love it though biggrin.gif

Been feeding my two raw for a couple of weeks now. I agree that speed eating is probably the problem. Last week Murphy threw up a chicken leg whole!!! I had feed the pair of them together in the garden and I think Murphy had panicked and eaten too quick so Racer couldn't get it.

They normally eat together fine, but now any bones that take a while to eat I seperate them and touch wood no more chicken on the rug.

Why is that, the only carpet downstairs is one small rug and that's where he throws up! mad.gif
