Hey all sorry not been on the forum much but we have been busy...

Where we live in Cheshire we have a natural reserve and fields so all good but there are a lot of foxes around..
Now nearly every day Storm rolls in their poo... sad.gif
It is really nasty as most of u might know....
It smells like a mix between burning rubber and poo I recon....

Anyway he know's he is not allowed because as soon as I whistle he looks up sees I am to far to stop him and rolls some more....If I am close he stops sorta but will return to the spot when I am further away....
When I come closer he runs off....

Then because he know's he has been naughty he listens really well for the rest of the walk....
because I used to take him straight home after poo-rolling, but that did not help either..

Does anyone have any idea how to stop him doing this as I really can't be dealing with it anymore....

Thanks everyone in advance....

Toby & Debbie

Sorry but I dont know of anyway to stop them rolling in fox poo, dog poo or any other unmentionables. My two take great delight in rubbing themselves into anything thats stinks laugh.gif
Its the breed thats the way they are they rub themselves in anything to disguise their smell for the hunt.
Tomato ketchup is good to take away the smell of fox poo

Someone on here might know a way to stop them I will watch this post biggrin.gif
I just let them get on with it and hose them down when I get home.

Hi
Springers are smelly dogs laugh.gif
But they are wonderful dogs even when they smell laugh.gif laugh.gif
Ignore the rubbing in whatever dont take him home because of it. He really cant help doing it . Its in his/her breeding. Tomato ketchup does work biggrin.gif
Have fun laugh.gif laugh.gif Remember springer kisses are only for the brave biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Forgot to say my two hate the hosepipe laugh.gif and any clean water and also sulk biggrin.gif
But thats the price they pay laugh.gif

I understand your plight ! Nelly (springer) rolls as does Ebony (stafford) Daisy the other springer doesn't its far to smelly for her tender nose laugh.gif . I know this wont help but itis a very natural thing for dogs to do smile.gif . I just wait till its dried then brush it out !
