Hilda arrived yesterday and melted our hearts! She is beautiful and was an instant hit with all of ours (and us!) Yestrady was a very long day for her and sleeping in our kennel( its more of an outside room really) proved a bit much but rather than another night in the kennel for big dog (see earlier blog re Hoover) Hilda and big dog spent the night bonding in the lounge.We know not an ideal training scenario but it was a long day for us all... ( Hilda and big dog really loved that!!) Today sees the start of some gentle crate training and getting her used to her home.

On the subject of Gotcha days many of us wouldnt have these lovely Spaniels if it wasnt for rescuers like Jackie, Selina and those we are yet to meet.The same goes for Fosterers such as John and Helen-You are all the real stars and very very lovely people -thank you

(John also makes wicked home made wine and apparently his rescue dogs arrive with abottle or two! well we were the fist foster so may have started something!!)

I'm not liking this dogs being rehomed with wine business though, surely it should be the other way around, us rescues let you home one of our very special rescue dogs and we get a bottle of wine in return
