Has anyone tried one of these, they were selling them in our local pet shop and I was tempted but really need some evidence they are as good as they say.

I have - i think they are good but very pricey! The thing is you have to brush your dog thoroughly before using the furminator, it is still amazing how much comes out!

but i do believe selina has something very similar but a whole lot cheaper for sale.

PS i found it too a bit too harsh to use on Angels ears, but that could just be me!

I got one a couple of weeks ago.
It's more for moulting than normal grooming I think, Obi isn't moulting at the minute so nothing much came out.
It was great on Honey Bear, my lab, I got tons of undercoat out of her

What SWSW have is very similar to the furminator and does a really good job and we are definitely a whole lot cheaper than the furminator, if you look in rescue fundraising you'll see pictures of what we've got, we are currently waiting on a delivery of new stock so if you can wait a short while we'll start a new thread as soon as they are back in stock
