Hi F biggrin.gif

just watched the video of the boys, how do you groom them Flo has the same type of coat ( Charley is curly) and she is a mess dry.gif

please help tongue.gif

With J, nothing, nada, zilch but he likes the attention and gets combed but nothing comes off him. Once in a while I trim his ears and toes, when he gets girly laugh.gif

Toby is a would be curly, he gets Zoom groomed, the metal comb with the elastic bands through and the stripping knife, the ears and toes the same as Jack. And loads comes of Tobe.

Sam is a whole new ball game, he has long wirey fur and I am at a loss whether to use the stripping knife on him. Mary ??? Any ideas ???

stripping knife blink.gif blink.gif blink.gif is this dangerous in the wrong hands ohmy.gif

Mary- 01-22-2008
I would use a coat king and then a stripping stone, I don;t like the stripping knife, I think you get a better finish with the stone, hope this helps wink.gif

Fuddles- 01-22-2008
Not used a stone before, I feel a spend coming on biggrin.gif Where might one percure one from ?

I didn't get on with the Coat King, infact I think you have it Sue ?

Mary- 01-22-2008
It's dirt cheap, buy it from a saddlery, it's a groomers stone, and cost me £3.95 for a large piece, you just use a hammer and break a bit off

Fuddles- 01-22-2008
nope its no good, I still have the vision of me rubbing Tobe with a half charlie laugh.gif

Fudds, we all know what the boys are like and we wouldn't want you getting this one wrong, can you imagine the shame???

So I'm sending Marls round, he has that same sort of fur and you can practise on him first, he has no street cred to worry about!!! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

what biggrin.gif

no I haven't got it someone got there tongue.gif before me I have a defelter thingy from Freya its fine for Charley

the stone is dead easy Fuds, you just use your thumb against it, so hold stone in hand and put dead hair between stone and thumb - and tweak.
Chances are you had a fine coat king whereas Bilbo takes quite a wide one

Fuddles- 01-22-2008
mmmm who got that then ?? Is it a Mars ?

Half charlie = brick wink.gif

nope, the one I use for Bilbo is actually a £10 one sold in my local saddlery, exactly the same as coat kings but sold for horses so cheaper for some reason - have a look online and see if you have a Derby House saddlery near you?
