Well in view of the expected difficult day at work (software upgrade rolleyes.gif) today, I am trying to shake the "dread head" of a headache I have woken up with by looking ahead to the weekend when we go off on our travels!

We are going to stay in Keldy Foresty on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors, near Pickering.

This is one of three sites run by the Forestry Commission; which has log cabins set right in the forest!

Deer Park - Cornwall
Keldy Forest - Yorkshire
Strathyre - Scotland

We went to Deer Park a couple of years ago and it was Springer Heaven! Everything there you could need, but not "in your face" like a holiday park!

The forest has set (colour coded) walks laid out according to difficulty.

The Forestry Commission also have caravan and camping sites up and down the country but we haven't tried them .......... yet!

Here is the link to their website Forest Holidays

Will report back on Yorkshire when we have been!

Erm, my record for not getting lost isn't hugely impressive so I have enlisted the company of two "natives" too as tour guides!
